VELLORE: “One should have interest and flair for learning languages,” said collector Ajay Yadav while inaugurating a two-day national seminar on Urdu on Monday. The seminar is being organised by the Department of Urdu of C Abdul Hakeem Arts College at Melvisharam under the aegis of National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, Ministry of Human Resources Development. Inaugurating the seminar, Yadav said that he had learnt Urdu out of his own interest. Urdu is a mixture of Arabic, Sanskrit and Persian languages and anyone beyond the barriers of religious constraints could learn it. He appealed to the participants to learn pure Urdu and avoid mixing words from other languages.
