The general body of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will meet on September 26 to discuss the party’s election campaign that will be launched on October 2.
In the campaign, senior party leaders would address over 500 public meetings in 224 Assembly seats in the state.
The general body comprises presidents of district committee, legislators, Lok Sabha members and four Union Ministers representing the state.
According to sources, all AICC members from the state, including the party in-charge Madhusudan Mistry, B K Hariprasad, Hanumanth Rao, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, Labour minister Mallikarjuna Kharge, Power Minister Veerappa Moily and Railways Minister K H Muniyappa will also participate in the meeting.
The meeting which is expected to be attended by over 800 party members will be held on the Bangalore Palace premises.
In the day-long meeting issues, including strategies for upcoming Assembly elections, shortlisting prospective party candidates and review of party’s organisational will be discussed.
