Kolkata: A group of anti-quota medicos on Saturday clashed with a section of their peers at the Calcutta Medical College and Hospital over the issue of suspension of work at the Out Patient Department (OPD).

Trouble began when anti-quota protestors, already into their 16th day of agitation, locked the OPD of the hospital in the morning. Besides some junior doctors who wanted to begin work, they did not allow anyone to enter the OPD.

In an argument that followed, the two groups exchanged blows. This forced the small number of junior doctors, who wanted to work to return.

The agitators then squatted in front of the locked outpatient department shouting slogans and held a protest meet. Meanwhile, preparations were on for a mega rally later in the day.

What's your reaction?
