PUDUCHERRY: The bank fraud detection division of the Kolkata Police on Wednesday night arrested a Nigerian national here in connection with a cyber crime case registered in WB.A team, including two inspectors Nilkanta Roy and Sumu Banerjee, traced the origin of the e-fraud case to Puducherry and picked up Nduluisi Egadi (32) from the Beach Road. Based on a case registered at Shakespere Sarani station in Kolkata on January 11 pertaining to electronically transferring funds out of bank accounts, the team traced him via his cell phone signals. Egadi had been living near Auroville along with some associates. However, they fled after getting to know that the police were after them. Egadi was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, who issued a transit warrant for taking him to Kolkata.
