KMF case: Notice to state government

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the state government and others on an appeal filed on creating Special Managing Director’s post in Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF).The High Court had on July 2 set aside the government’s decision to create a parallel post of Special Managing Director in KMF, where there was already an MD. Challenging the ruling, the state filed an appeal stating that the government could create a parallel post like Special Managing Director even an MD was active in the post.Hearing the petition, a division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and Justice A S Bopanna issued notices to the state, present MD Premnath, and former MD Ramalingegowda, who is under suspension, and another aspirant for the post the of MD Venkataram.
