KANNUR: Pinarayi Vijayan and V S Achuthanandan are back to their game of slugfest against each other. The state secretary has reiterated that ‘kulamkuthikal’ (traitors) are actually ‘kulamkuthikal’ which is diametrically opposite to the stand of the Opposition Leader regarding the slain Revolutionary Marxist PArty leader T P Chandrasekharan and the dissident group that left the CPM.Pinarayi reasserted his point while inaugurating the AKG Mandiram built at Chendayad in Panur in the district here on Wednesday. He said that he hadn’t called Chandrasekharan a ‘kulamkuthi’ after his death.Chandrasekharan had opposed the CPM along with the enemies of the party. The real traitors are those trying to destroy the party supporting its enemies, he said.Without naming VS, Pinarayi said that the former had the wisdom to understand why the enemies of the party shout slogans supporting him when he speaks about those who had worked against the party.Pinarayi also had a word of caution against the CPI leaders’ recent comments on the role of the CPM in the Chandrasekharan murder incident.“During the melee they are trying to garner some supporters. If they can do so let them do it, but this shouldn’t be done at the cost of the CPM,” Pinarayi Viijayan said by way of an innuendo aimed at the CPI leadership.
