This week saw the release of three films, Udaan, Tere Bin Laden and Lamhaa. When the films are many for the offering, it becomes difficult for the viewers to pick their movie for the weekend. Udaan highlights teenage issues, Tere Bin Laden is a tongue-in-cheek comedy and Lamhaa of course is the untold story about Kashmir.
The film-makers have done everything to attract people to cinema halls. Now that they have seen the movie, let’s find out the first hand reaction starting with Lamhaa.
Ritika Dhir says, “What pulled me to watch this film is that I wanted to know about Kashmir. The film, in a way, gave me a lot of information about the valley but when you talk about enjoying the film, I think that factor was missing.”
Nupoor Mehra says,” The story of Kashmir is beautifully told by Rahul, but somehow, there are few things which are not clear. The role of characters are little confusing but he has showed the real Kashmir, which is definitely an eye opening.”
Sohail Shah says,” The film is good but too many things are happening at the same time. The roles of important people are not elaborated and the ending is very abrupt.”
Vignesh Menon says,” My mind is too heavy after the film. The film has so much of content. But you can’t expect entertainment from a Rahul Dholakia film. The film is very hard hitting.”
So going by what the audiences are saying, the film promises to show the untold story of Kashmir but the content fails to involve the audience.
Udaan saw lot of youngsters outside the cinema hall as it’s a story about a teenager. Gaurav Singhal says,” I could remember the days when I was seventeen years old. Small things like taking out your dad’s car for a spin in the night, smoking and other wild nights with friends are so beautifully shown.”
Rohan Varghese says,” I could connect with the film and it is a very simple subject which is very beautifully shown. I loved the film.”
Tushar Bose says,” It is difficult to digest how a TV actor could pull of such a challenging role. Ronit Roy is superb. He is the cruelest father I have seen on-screen.”
Shaifali Jak says,” The film had no big names so I didn’t expect much from it. But, I was completely blown away by the film. The small kid is too cute.”
Words for Udaan are definitely encouraging and the audiences are not complaining about anything.
Coming to the final release, Tere Bin Laden, there were a lot of jokes about Osama being heard outside the theater.
Teresa D’souza says,” I just loved the film. It is a one time watch.”
Anshu Chhabria says,” The actor who plays Osama looks similar to the real Osama Bin Laden. The film is a laugh riot and is very refreshing from the typical Bollywood filmy movies we see.”
Shruti Dubey says,” I loved Ali’s performance in the film. Also, Osama character is so brilliant in the film. I had a good time watching the film.”
So, take your pick among the three films for the weekend.
