RAJAHMUNDRY: YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday demanded the state government order a probe into the circumstances that led to an arson at Regency Ceramics Limited(RCL) at Yanam on January 27. In the incident, RCL president(operations) KC Chandra shekhar was lynched after a union leader Murali Mohan was killed in the police action at Yanam. Jagan, who made a whirlwind tour in the twin Godavari districts Friday, consoled the bereaved family of the Murali Mohan at T Kottapalli village in I Polavarm mandal.Making a scathing attack on the state government, Jagan alleged that it had failed to protect the interests of the workers of the RCL. The YSRC chief also demanded the government take necessary steps to lift the lockout at the RCL by bringing pressure on Pondicherry government. A sub-committee of the ministers should be appointed to probe into the incident, he said.Earlier, Jagan reached Tadepalligudem railway station at 5.30 am by Gowthami Express from Hyderabad where he received a warm welcome from the YSR Congress leaders including former minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, EG party incharge I Ramakrishna Raju, Narsapuram MLA M Prasad Raju and others. Later, Jagan reached Amalapuram where Ambedkar’s statues were disfigured recently.YSR chief to go on fast for weaver’s causeRAJAHMUNDRY: Demanding immediate release of funds to the loan waiver scheme for handloom weavers, YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has announced that he will go on three-day fast from February 12 at Dharmavaram in Anantapur district where two weavers committed suicide on Friday. The three-day fast of the Kadapa MP is to mount pressure on the government to initiate measures for weavers’ welfare.
