HYDERABAD: Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday termed YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy a criminal.Reacting to Jagan submitting a copy of the GO issued in the TDP regime to the CBI seeking questioning of the former chief minister in connection with the mining lease, the Telugu Desam president said: “Only criminals get such ideas (submission of a copy of the GO to CBI).Ordinary human beings do not resort to such acts.” Speaking to reporters here, Naidu said the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) money was parked in RR Global by former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy. The money in RR Global was diverted to Sakshi paper and Indira TV owned by the Kadapa MP.Naidu reminded that the GO mentioned by Jagan was incorporated in Mining Mafia - A Threat to Democracy published by the TDP to expose the corruption in the YS Rajasekhara Reddy government. When the TDP government issued the GO, Janardhan Reddy was not on the board of OMC.Subsequently, YSR extended the lease and looted the public money, Naidu said “They all committed fraudulent business deals and landed in jail.Gali Janardhan Reddy and Koneru Prasad are in jail.Let us wait and see how many more will be jailed for committing corrupt deals,” Naidu said.“Some people are of the view that I am an inefficient person and suggested me to learn from YSR.I said I have no need to learn such things,” Naidu said, while claiming that the previous TDP regime was transparent.“Jagan is in quagmire of corruption. Now, he is trying to sling mud at me by making baseless allegations.Truth will be out soon,” Naidu said. The TDP chief demanded that Jagan prove his innocence instead of slinging mud at others.“I have no benamis.Ramoji Rao started Margadarsi when I was in school. It is not correct to state that Ramoji Rao is my benami.I have no assets other than the disclosed. If anyone proves that I have more assets, I will hand over the assets to them and also give some share in my disclosed assets as bonus,” Naidu dared Jagan loyalists. The TDP chief said his second leg of Rythu Porubata would commence in Prakasam district on November 7.Naidu who undertook a padayatra in Rayalaseema, said farmers of the droughthit region were in distress. He said he would convene a meeting soon to chalk out the strategy to be adopted by the TDP to raise farmers’ issues in the ensuing session of Parliament.
