Voters of more than ten villages in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh have decided to boycott the Lok Sabha elections to protest the lack of basic amenities in the area.
The villagers, led by sarpanch Ramkali Baghel in a meeting at Khamrauli village on Saturday expressed their anger and alleged that the candidates of all parties made false promises and did not turn up after winning.
Basic amenities such as drinking water, electricity, and roads were absent in these villages, they said.
Voters of Madanpura, Dongarpur, Dimarpura and Chitai among other villages in the district have decided to boycott the Lok Sabha elections.
