HYDERABAD: A US-based doctor hailing from the state has received international acclaim for his achievement in the field of surgery. Harsha, a native of Chirala in Prakasam district, is now working as surgeon in Philadelphia. He was selected for ‘Dwight D. Eisenhower Surgical Leadership and Services Professional Delegation to India’ for 2011.Harsha did his MBBS from Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada. Harsha said the delegation would seek to understand the similarities and differences in challenges faced by surgeons in India and have the opportunity to develop professional ties with them. The delegation plans to visit India in November.“It is a thrilling opportunity to share my technical expertise and discuss new approaches and ideas with India. At the same time I will be able to help the U.S. delegation gain insight into the solutions India has developed,” he said.
