Panaji: Despite fame and fortune, superstar Rajinikanth believes in staying grounded and leading a humble life. Rajinikanth's interviews and public appearances might be few, but his words have always been priceless for his fans.
So even though the emotional Rajinikanth made a short speech on being conferred Centenary Award for Indian film personality of the year at IFFI's inaugural ceremony, he managed to leave an impact with his simplicity and generosity.
When we asked veteran actor Anupam Kher for his reaction to Rajinikanth being overwhelmed as he watched a video of his works at IFFI's opening ceremony, he said, "Even though he has earned huge popularity, he remains an ordinary person. An individual who rises from the bottom to the top is expected to get emotional as he sees his journey to fame and stardom. I'm happy that he received one of the best and important awards of IFFI."
