Los Angeles: Actress Keira Knightley says she wants to do more positive roles after realising that her characters in the past were subjected to horrific situations. The 29-year-old star, who played the titular role in 2012's tragic love story 'Anna Karenina', said the film made her realise about the grim and serious roles she had done in the past, reported Us magazine.

"After 'Anna Karenina', I suddenly realised that for the past five years, in all of my films, I either died or was subjected to situations that were each more horrific than the last. So I wanted more positive vibrations!," Knightley said.

The actress said she is happy about her upcoming movie, 'Begin Again' as it is different from her previous projects. The 'Atonement' actress said despite years of industry experience, she still gets nervous while preparing for a role. "I'm still just as stressed out when I start a film shoot and I'm not happy with everything that I do. But with time and each new film, I continue to learn, unlearn and learn again. And therefore to build who I am," she said.
