KOCHI: Hinting at his willingness to concentrate more in state politics, National Students Union (NSU) president Hibi Eden has expressed readiness to quit the post. With organisational polls round the corner, the national leadership of the Congress is likely to accept the request.“I have expressed my willingness to the national Congress leadership to quit the post,” he told Express.Eden said he had almost completed his tenure and had only three more months left. “It is time that others came to the forefront,” he added. “Moreover, I have to concentrate on my constituency,” said Eden, who represents Ernakulam constituency.When asked about the possibility of state leaders coming to the top post of NSU, he said there would only be an elected president. However, he added, that there were chances for young leaders from Kerala to occupy the high office.After Ramesh Chennithala, Hibi Eden is the second person from the state to occupy the post of NSU president.
