HYDERABAD: City police have issued a stern warning to those threatening to disrupt the written examination for recruitment of lecturers in government degree colleges in the backdrop of Telangana students and organisations demanding postponement of examinations for recruitment of both sub-inspectors and lecturers.Police commissioner AK Khan said the lecturer examinations would be conducted at six centres in the city and all arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of the exams. “A joint commissioner of police rank would be entrusted for supervising security and nearly 600-800 policemen deployed at each centre,’’ Khan added. Prohibitory orders would be enforced near examination centres and no candidate allowed to enter with mobile phones or any equipment other than writing material.“Candidates would be subjected to thorough frisking and checking which may take some time and we appeal to candidates to ensure they reach the centre at least two hours earlier. We are not be responsible for any candidate missing the exam due to security checks,” the commissioner said. He added any candidate trying to disrupt or snatch papers would be dealt with severely. “We will write to the authorities to debar such candidates from appearing for any competitive examinations,’’ Khan said. The exam would be held from 10 a.m to 12.30 p.m and 2 p.m to 4.30 p.m.
