HYDERABAD: The PIL bench of the AP High Court on Friday adjourned for two weeks a plea requiring the ministers in the Kiran Kumar Reddy ministry to get back to work.Shiva Kumar and two others from Medak pointed out that the entire episode of ministers putting in their papers was illegal. The petition said that the ministers had only resigned as MLAs and not as ministers. Even a non-MLA can function as a minister and in such circumstances keeping away from office was illegal, the petition pointed out.The ministers are face of the government. They are required to aid and advice the governor and the present action is unconstitutional, it said. The bench comprising chief justice Nissar Ahmad Kakru and justice vilas Afzalpurkar pointed out to the counsel that the court’s role and jurisdiction could be limited and wanted specific arguments on whether the controversy could be adjudicated. In another case, the High Court on Friday adjourned to 10 days the writ petition seeking deletion of the controversial Clause 14 (f).  M Narayana, a resident of Nizamabad, complained that the said clause was unconstitutional.
