BHUBANESWAR: Thousands of people thronged streets hailing Anna Hazare’s crusade against corruption on Sunday. On Saturday night, when Hazare announced to end his fast, citizens _ both young and old _ rallied round Anna. Residents of various areas congregated at Lower PMG road holding placards and shouting slogans applauding Anna’s movement. A few Anna supporters even got into singing and dancing soon after the news of Hazare breaking his 12-day fast came in. “I am extremely happy that the government has conceded the demand of Hazare, the corruption is affecting everybody in society and we want a very strong Lokpal Bill,” said Imran Ali, a member of India Against Corruption, amid chanting of slogans. The supporters also burst crackers at various parts of the City. Later in the evening, a motorcycle rally was taken out throughout the City by youths which was joined by residents of several areas.
