For neighbours and passersby who glanced at the body, it was just another preparation for the last rites. But the sorrowful atmosphere of Hima Bindu’s house was something which only her family and relatives could feel.

A pall of gloom took over her house and the entire neighbourhood, as every house poured in to get a glimpse of Hima, and tried to console her parents, who believed that with their daughter, their soul too had been taken away from them.
