Greening of Gulbarga bypass mooted

Hyderabad Karnataka Environment Awareness and Protection Organisation has requested the Chairman of Environmental Public Hearing Committee, who is also the Gulbarga Deputy Commissioner, to consider connecting the bypass to the new ring road on the outskirts of the city.

 Forum president Deepak Gala has filed objections, comments and observations in connection with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for Rehabilitation and Upgrading to 2-Lane with paved shoulders, configuration of NH- 218 from Bijapur-Gulbarga- Humnabad of Karnataka.

 In his letter, Gala has stated that the EIA report prepared by Vitya Consultants Pvt.

 Ltd, Secunderabad, has failed to mention details about the land survey numbers with locations like village, taluk, tehsil and district details.
