Government told to file counter affidavit

BANGALORE: The High Court on Tuesday directed the State Government to file a counter affidavit in six weeks in connection with a petition alleging land grabbing at Mallasandra village in Yeshwantpur.Lokappa and others have filed a petition alleging that around 51.82 acres of land in three separate survey numbers has been occupied illegally and despite several representations to the State Government, no action has been taken.The State Government submitted that it would regularise the land. The court after directing the government to file a counter affidavit, told the petitioners to file a contempt petition, if the government does not regularise the land.
