Understanding of god

God is that secret ingredient which makes the world go around and also makes it so interesting. I look at nature and think that it is the best manifestation of god. It can be the picture or the idol that one prays to, or the godmen that people throng to see. I believe that god is not out somewhere but within us and we are all on a journey to discover that.

Interacting with god

I experience god. The difference is that experience is internal and intense whereas interaction is external. I experience god as a good companion, like him, respect him and keep discovering. Why him and not her? Because I am male and when I am discovering god within me, it is easier to identify, although god cannot be bound by gender, race  and religion.

Spiritual practices and religious beliefs

By birth, my religious belief is Hinduism which has some outstanding insights into god and spirituality. The fact is god is not about spirituality or religion. Religion is a set of practices and spirituality is a route to realise god.

Take on meditation

It should become mandatory. Meditation is nothing but intense concentration. When one meditates, emotions are held at bay and therefore the “I” ego state is not voraciously looking to be fed.

Faith in miracles

Everything around me is a miracle. Having been invited to share my experience with god is one. Even if these miracles are only coincidences, why not treat them as miracles and be delighted?

A serious caution: don’t start ascribing these miracles to any other person. Then, it takes on the power for manipulation.
