A girl student of a local college in Ganderbal, J&K, was beaten up by the principal for not being in uniform.
Srinagar: Fierce clashes broke out on Tuesday between students of a local college and the police in the Ganderbal area, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's constituency.
The students alleged that one of the girls was apparently beaten up by the college principle for not being in uniform.
The students agitated and took a rally towards the main road when they were stopped by police who used baton to disperse them.
