Ganesh Kumar calls VS a sex-maniac

KOLLAM: Forest Minister K B Ganesh Kumar on Thursday hurled abuses at Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan by calling the 88-year-old veteran CPM leader a ‘’sex-maniac’’ and a ‘’pervert.’’Addressing a public meeting organised by the UDF at Pathanapuram near here, Ganesh Kumar said that VS had gone senile and that made him raise allegations against him on the Valakam attack involving a school teacher.Referring to the allegations against his son Arunkumar, Ganesh kumar said that the biggest thief is inside the house of VS. “VS who goes around calling everyone else a crook like a mad man forgets that his son is the biggest crook around,’’ he said.Ganesh said VS will have to weep when Arunkumar will be jailed and added that the day was fast approaching.Meanwhile, reacting to the comments made by Ganesh Kumar, Achathanandan told reporters in Thiruvananthapuram that the comments show the culture of the minister. ‘’It shows the culture of the minister and I don’t want to comment further on what he said,’’ he  said.The Left organisations, including DYFI, SFI and AIYF, reacted strongly against Ganesh Kumar’s comments. DYFI leaders said until Ganesh Kumar withdraws his statement and apologises for his remarks, they will continue to stage state-wide protests.Later in the evening, DYFI activists took out a protest march to the Secretariat.
