Fun time for kids

CHENNAI: This first-of-a-kind preschool is definitely different. Grassroots, with an international curriculum, seeks to  work towards the development of children. The school uses a natural play-way method (Vivriti inspired by the popular Reggio method) focussing on the overall development of the child. Grassroots was started by four experienced women — Dr Sharanya, who  has developed the Vivriti method based on the Reggio method, which is one of the world’s best programmes; Deepa, who has been the school-in-charge of Kangaroo Kids in Chennai; Sukanya — the Deputy Director of CAPA and programme in charge of IGNOU’s certificate course and Praseema of the oversees information and outreach services.This international preschool offers programmes for children aged between 15 months and 1.11 years. They offer two programmes, a parent-child interaction programme and an independent programme. The school has a 6:1 student-teacher ratio with experienced teachers and trained care-takers.
