Four boys gangrape a class XI girl in Meerut

A Class XI student was allegedly abducted and gangraped by four youths from Thana Kankarkheda area of Meerut district, police said on Monday.

According to the FIR registered by the girl, she was alone on July 25 when four youths from her village forcibly entered the house. She was drugged and taken in a car to the neighbouring Ghaziabad district where she was gangraped by the four accused, they said.

On Saturday, the accused fled after dropping the victim at a lonely spot in Ghaziabad, Kankarkheda police officer said.

The traumatised girl mustered enough courage to inform her family about the incident, following which she was taken to the police station and a case was registered against the four accused, police officer said.

The victim has been sent for medical examination, he said adding that efforts are on to arrest the accused.
