Flats to be handed over to Sahabhavana Town

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the state government to ensure that possession of flats allotted to the members of the Sahabhavana Township Allottees Welfare Association shall be delivered without insisting on registration of documents provided the entire amount is paid.High Court judge L Narasimha Reddy, through an interim order on a petition filed by the association, has directed principal secretary to housing and managing director of Rajiv Swagruha Corporation to take necessary steps for handing over flats to the members of the association who have paid the entire amount.Before issuing the direction the judge remarked, “the members of the association have responded to the notification issued by the government which had promised that the flats would be sold at 25 percent less than the market value and possession of the same would be handed over within 24 months. Though more than four years have past, the construction was not completed. The members have paid the entire amount. It is represented that substantial number of purchasers were handed over possession without insisting on registration of the documents.’’
