Emerging Kerala should break new ground: Mohanlal

Actor Mohanlal has posted on his blog that the proposed Emerging Kerala 2012, being planned by the State Government, should open the doors to all countries and function as a platform to absorb the good aspects and achievements from them.

If the projects being planned in the Emerging Kerala materialises, then the state can experience a major change. Setting aside political differences, the state should work for a common line of supporting  development activities.

Serious thought should be given on the type of the proposed projects, rather than on who had taken the initiative for the projects. “There should be criticism but it should be constructive,” Mohanlal wrote in his blog.

According to Mohanlal, it is sad to find that constructive criticisms is missing in the state. “I hope that the attempt for the creation of a new Kerala will materialise”.

The actor compared Kerala with other states and foreign countries and said that Kerala was lagging behind in infrastructure including road, transportation, employment generation and effective waste disposal. “Every citizen including me and those political parties in Kerala are responsible for the pathetic condition in the state,” he said.
