MYSORE: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah has said as the Lokayukta clearly indicted former minister Sriramulu in its report, there is no question of Sriramulu preserving his self-respect by resigning.Talking to reporters at his residence here on Sunday, Siddaramaiah said Sriramulu had exploited natural resources by joining hands with the Reddy brothers. And it was clearly proved by the Lokayukta in its report, and the people were more aware of these things. There was no question of Sriramulu’s preserving self-respect behind the move, he added.“He is misleading the people by saying his action was to preserve self-respect. In fact, denial of a Cabinet berth was the main reason for the resignation. Of course, I heard the words about launching a new party by the Reddy brothers, but mere resignation of Sriramulu will not result in the collapse of the BJP-led state government,” Siddaramaiah said.On the one-month-long administration of D V Sadananda Gowda as Chief Minister, he said Gowda had already lost hopes as he failed to leave his footprints and bring changes in the state.
