Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy directed officials on Wednesday to declare DSC-2012 examination results by October 7 and fill around 30,000 teacher posts within one month.

The state government has conducted the examination recently to fill up the teacher posts in government schools including Model Schools.

DSC-2012 was conducted to recruit 6,007 school assistants, 2,144 language pandits, 409 PETs, 12,772 SGTs and 11 special teacher. In all, 4,23,111 candidates applied for 21,343 posts. The results are likely to be announced on Oct 7.

For the Model Schools, the written test was conducted in May for recruiting 355 headmasters, 4,615 PGTs and 2,130 TGTs. Around 10,590 candidates applied for 7,100 posts. The results for PGT and TGT posts too will be announced on October 7. The results for the post of headmasters will be declared after conducting interviews. The government granted permission for direct recruitment of 1,25,134 government teachers this year, the highest number in state’s history. The total government cadre strength is only 10 lakh.

Of these, 48,730 posts were created this year for unemployed youth. Clearances were given to recruiting agencies for filling up 1,18,620 jobs. The APPSC will fill 15,674 posts, Police Recruitment Board 24,634, District Selection Committee 41,268 and the Departmental Selection Committees 36,099.

The total number of vacancies notified so far is 95,073 and the number of vacancies yet to be notified is 23,547. A notification for recruitment to 23,547 posts will be issued soon, according to government sources
