HYDERABAD: PCC former president and MLC D Srinivas is now playing a new role in the state Congress politics and has became 'unofficial' adviser to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to "set right'' state affairs and to tackle the Telangana issue in particular.
According to party sources, Kiran Kumar Reddy does not have good relations with Telangana ministers who are, therefore, not in a position to advise him on the Telangana issue. Some ministers, though were very close to Reddy, also failed to discharge their duties on expected lines. One of the senior ministers, K Jana Reddy, is in a dilemma whether to support Telangana Congress or the party high command. On the other hand, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana does not have good relations with the chief minister. Telangana Congress MPs too are similarly placed visavis the chief minister. In this backdrop the high command chose Srinivas to set right the party affairs in the state.
