Drugs Control department to launch new website

BANGALORE: The Department of Drugs Control Department is launching its new website soon. People can get information on spurious, adulterated, sub-standard drugs or any information on the pricing of drugs on the website. According to sources in the department, the designing of the new website is in progress and it will be launched within two months.Speaking to The New Indian Express Dr BR Jagashetty of the department said that officers are working to complete the scanning work.“We would update Right to Information (RTI) queries and information on drugs seized or any circular issued  by the department on it. As soon as the scanning of the documents is over, we would upload all content to this new website,” he added.The website would bring transparency in the functioning of the department, he explained. The Department of Drugs Control is setting up the website in collaboration with National Information Centre (NIC).
