BHUBANESWAR: Admitting to differences of opinion with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on certain issues, BJD’s dissident MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra on Wednesday claimed that there was a possibility of the party supporting NDA at the national level.“There is no question of an alliance with either the Congress or the BJP at the State-level. However, supporting NDA at the national level is a different issue,” Pyari told reporters when asked whether Naveen was getting closer to BJP leaders like LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. “I learnt about this from media. However, the BJD will contest polls on its own in the State,” said Mohapatra to a query. He was the chief advisor of Patnaik till the 2009 elections.Patnaik had reportedly spoken to Advani before leaving on a nine-day trip to the United Kingdom. He also attended a function of Joshi in Delhi recently, sources said.About BJD’s support to NCP leader PA Sangma for Presidential elections, Pyari said the BJD president had already announced this. “As Naveen has announced the Sangma’s name for the presidential elections, this is the decision of the party,” he said.
