New Delhi: The Delhi Police has denied permission to Aam Aadmi party (AAP) to hold a rally from Jantar Mantar to Parliament on Wednesday opposing the Land Bill.
Section 144 already exists in New Delhi area as Parliament is in session. Senior officers of Delhi police said that action will be taken against anyone violating the prohibitory orders.
Reportedly, additional forces are to be positioned to prevent AAP supporters from marching towards Parliament.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also participate in the rally. Speaking to the media, party leader Sanjay Singh said, "Arvind Kejriwal will address the crowd at Jantar Mantar on Wednesday."
He added that a procession would be taken out from the protest site to Parliament.
However, the AAP chief won't be a part of the march towards Parliament.
