New Delhi: In the latest development in the Mercedes hit-and-run case in the national capital, the father of the underage driver was on Friday arrested by police. He was earlier booked for giving his vehicle to his son, who is a minor, just three day short of 18 years.
A Delhi based business consultant was killed in the incident that took place in the Civil Lines area of the national capital on Monday.
The victim was walking towards his home when he was run over. The accused fled from the spot after the incident, which took place near the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The tragic death of the 32-year-old man was captured on a CCTV camera. The victim's family released the CCTV footage to prove that the offending driver was over-speeding.
A 17-year-old class 12 student was allegedly driving the Mercedes that slammed into Sidharth Sharma on Monday night in Civil Lines area.
