New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Friday issued a notice to former Andhra Pradesh governor N D Tiwari after admitting the appeal of Rohit Shekhar, who claims to be the biological son of the veteran politician.
A division bench of Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah and Rajiv Sahai Endlaw issued notice to Tiwari to file his response against Rohit by February 9, the next date of hearing.
Rohit had challenged the single bench order of November last year that had dismissed his paternity suit on ground of jurisdiction.
Last month, Tiwari had to quit the Hyderabad Raj Bhavan in disgrace after allegations of his involvement in a sex romp even as he said he was resigning due to falling health.
In an interview to a news channel, Tiwari had said the allegations were "far from the truth" and denied knowing the woman who had been shown in a video clip having sex with the 86-year-old governor.
Observing that video technology had become so advanced that anything could be created, he said the clip in question had been morphed to "malign my image".
