New Delhi: So after much anticipation Delhi's own film, Delhi 6 will hit the silver screens on Friday. And to bring it out in style the entire cast of the film was in the capital to promote the film on it's premiere night.
Rumour has it that Delhi 6 star Abhishek Bachchan is trying to create a record of sorts by making 6 promotional stop overs at 6 different cities around the world within 12 hours! And on Thursday night, we spotted the star in the Captial along with co-star Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to do what they do best--talk about their film and its characters.
Actor Sonam Kapoor said, "Bittu is a young girl. Every young person in India will connect to her."
Abhishek Bachchan said, "It's wonderful.There are a lot of similarities between Roshan and me. That's why I did the film."
Adding to the star quotient, was the rest of the film's cast including Waheeda Rahman, Rishi Kapoor and Cyrus Sahukar. And the entire Bachchan khandaan was also present to support Bachchan Jr with wife Ash rooting for her hubby publicly.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, "You may accuse me of bias where Abhishek is concerned but the whole team is fantastic ensemble of actors."
The film is set in Delhi's Chandni Chowk area, that has 6 as its pincode, which explains the film's title Delhi 6. And Mehra was all praise for this place that has inspired his film.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said, "It is the only place in the world which, despite being so populated has a metro going right through it."
And for Mehra, it's all in the hands of the audience now.
Mehra said, "I hope I can live up to their expectations."
