NEW DELHI: Union minister for civil aviation Vayalar Ravi informed Lok Sabha that a decision on Sriperumbudur Greenfield airport is pending. He was replying to a query from DMK MP T R Baalu. Ravi had ignored commenting on the Chennai’s much-awaited greenfield airport while submitting status updates on 12 similar projects across the country. Baalu, while raising his question in the House on Wednesday, said that the earlier DMK government had acquired 1600 acres on the direction of Central government. “As far as Sriperumbudur is concerned, the Government is yet to take a final decision. There are representations from the Chief Minister, MP’s and Baalu himself has represented. They are all givin g the representations to me. Definitely, it will be taken into consideration,” Ravi said.
