Panaji: The debris of a Dornier maritime surveillance aircraft, which crashed on Tuesday, was found but the two naval officers are still missing.
INS Makar, a naval hydrographic vessel, has detected a large metallic object likely to be the fuselage of the ill fated Navy Dornier.
The aircraft which was on a routine training sortie crashed on Tuesday at around 11 pm and two officers on board are missing.
"One survivor has been rescued. Search is on to locate two more officers including a pilot and observer," navy officials said.
