D Srinivas apprises Sonia of Telangana situation

HYDERABAD: Former APCC chief and MLC D Srinivas met Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Delhi  on Wednesday.He reportedly apprised her of the political situation in Telangana region and the impact of the exit of  three Congress MLAs (Jupalli Krishna Rao, T Rajaiah and Somarapu Satyanarayana) on the party as the trio joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.  Talking to newsmen later, Srinivas said he met the AICC president to  thank her for giving him an opportunity to serve people as an MLC.On Telangana issue, he exuded confidence that the Congress high command would resolve it soon amicably. “I am hopeful that the political uncertainty in the state will end soon. The UPA Government will take a correct decision on the T issue,” he said.Srinivas accused the TRS of trying to increase its numerical strength in theAssembly invoking the Telangana sentiment.
