Court to hear Lt Gen's plea against Army Chief

New Delhi: A Delhi court will on Monday hear the defamation case filed by retired Lt Gen Tejinder Singh against the Army Chief.

General Tejinder singh has requested the court to summon and initiate proceedings against General VK Singh and others for allegedly making defamatory statements against him in the media and accusing him of bribery.

Alleging that the officers misused their official position, power and authority to level false charges against him, he has, in his complaint, also named army vice chief Lt Gen SK Singh, Director General, Military Intelligence, Lt Gen BS Thakur, Additional Director General, Public Information Major Gen SL Narsimhan and Directorate General of Public Information staff officer Lt Col Hitten Sawhney.
