BANGALORE: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) is scheduled to meet here on Tuesday for the first time since Governor appointed D V Sadananda Gowda as the new Chief Minister replacing B S Yeddyurappa.The meeting is expected to pass a resolution demanding the government to convene the Assembly session.According to party sources, Opposition leader in the Assembly Siddaramaiah has convened the meeting at the party office in Vidhana Soudha. At the meeting, various other issues including the recent political developments, are expected to come for deliberation.Speaking to The New Indian Express, Siddaramaiah said that no specific agenda has been fixed for the meeting, but issues relating to the Lokayukta report on illegal mining, formation of the new BJP government, heavy rains and the dry spell prevailing in many places of the state may figure in the discussion. He alleged that a number of beneficiaries of social security schemes are in distress following the delay in the release of funds.
