BANGALORE: All government offices, including the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and Grama Panchayat offices would be included under the Sakala scheme.Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said this would ensure the timely processing of files.Speaking here after the inauguration of the Kandaya Bhavan worth Rs 35 crore, he said that such single window systems will centralise all procedures.“Such a system would ensure transparency in governmental procedures”, he said.He added a fine of Rs 20 per day would be imposed upon the erring official, who does not clear the file within the stipulated time.He claimed that till now, over 10 lakh applications had been filed under the scheme.He said under Sakala, another 40 services will be added to the existing 151 services.Gowda added the officials had also initiated an SMS update to inform the applicants once the matter was resolved.He claimed that within the next 10 days, 80 per cent of the eligible people in the state would be given Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards.He also said that 17 Suvarna Soudha projects need to be completed while 130 had already been completed.State Housing Minister V Somanna said title deeds of over 20 lakh homes built under the Ashraya programme would be distributed within the next three months.There were 2,225 slum dwellings across the state and over 40 lakh people would be provided shelters.
