Kim Clijsters routed error-prone Na Li 6-2, 6-4 on Tuesday.
New York: Unseeded former champion Kim Clijsters charged into the semi-finals of the US Open after routing error-prone Na Li of China 6-2, 6-4 on Tuesday.
Clijsters was cruising in the second set when Li won three straight games to take a 4-3 lead. But Clijsters recovered from her wobble and broke Li's serve in the ninth game before serving out at the match.
World No. 19 Li had 41 unforced errors in the 63-minute quarter-final match at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Unseeded Clijsters, who took two years off to start a family and has only been back on tour a few weeks, will play either number two seed Serena Williams or 10th seed Flavia Pennetta in the last four.
