Cinare pens lyric for T film

HYDERABAD: Lyricist and Jnanpith awardee Dr C Narayana Reddy has penned a song for a film titled Inkennallu (how long) which is based on the ongoing Telangana movement. “I feel proud of it and appreciate film producer-director-actor Syed Rafi for his extraordinary film-making style,” Cinare, as he is popular, said here on Wednesday.Cinare had last penned a song for the blockbuster Arundhati. “Generally, if I don’t like the situation, where the song is inserted in a movie, I don’t write at all.Else, I’ll convert the situation according to my wish by convincing the producers.But for Inkennallu, I composed the lyric without raising objections soon after the producer narrated a wonderful sentimental scene,” he explained.Rafi, who is also the music director of the film, said he had tried to capture the exploitation of the Telangana people’s language and resources in the film.“Telangana Praja Front president Gaddar also wrote and sang a song, and also acted in the movie. Chairman of the Telangana political joint action committee Prof M Kodandaram Reddy too will be seen in a good role,” he said. The film is in the final stages of production and will be released in the first week of November.
