HUBLI: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda remained non-committal on inducting tainted Reddy brothers into the state Cabinet saying that the BJP central leadership will decide on the matter.Interacting with reporters at Gadag railway station on his way to Aalmatti on Monday, Gowda stated that decisions on appointing district in-charge ministers and third phase of Cabinet expansion would be taken after consultations with party’s top leadership.Denying differences within the BJP, the Chief Minister said the central leadership was busy dealing with issues raised by Gandhian Anna Hazare. Once they were settled, the matters related to Karnataka would be discussed, he said.He reaffirmed his commitment to the overall development of North Karnataka and said that the steps taken during the Yeddyurappa regime, including total implementation of Dr Nanjundappa Committee report on regional imbalance, would surely continue.Asked about permitting Posco to set up a steel plant in Gadag district, Gowda clarified that the government had already decided against it. “Steel plant in Gadag district is a closed chapter,” he said.
