BANGALORE: Our career experts share pointers  on how to prepare for the verbal ability and logical reasoning section.Abhishek Jha, Learnhub, says verbal ability section consists of two areas, reading comprehension and english usage. Reading skills of  the candidate is very important.  The speed of reading a passage should increase while understanding the          passage is also equally  important. This can be done by practising the habit of  focusing on key words that convey the meaning of a sentence. When attempting the logical reasoning section, Jha advises that one should create a chart or a diagram of the question to get clarity. One should read questions very carefully since these questions are intended to check your ability to manage ambiguous data and one should not assume any information that is not given in the question. Ajay Arora, TIME, says, “Attempt questions that you are comfortable answering. If one feels that their reasoning skills is better than verbal attempt, then they should attempt the reasoning  questions first. Around 15 minutes should be spent on the verbal ability section.About five minutes should be spent on reading each comprehension passage and logical reasoning caselet to understand the same. Even after five minutes if you fail to understand the comprehension passage, one must move on to the next.”Thursday’s article will focus solely on overall time management when attempting the paper.
