Call off fast: Oscar to Bapuji

HYDERABAD: Congress leader Oscar Fernandez on Thursday appealed to freedom fighter Konda Laxman Bapuji, who has been on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for the Telangana cause, to call off his Deeksha. He assured that the Congress high command was committed to resolving the T issue at the earliest.But Bapuji whose fast entered the third day, refused to call off his hunger strike till the Congressled UPA Government made an announcement on T. TDP MP Nama Nageswara Rao and several other leaders also participated in the Deeksha.
