BJP state president V Muralidharan has called for an inquiry by a Central agency into the death of the Bihari youth who was admitted to the Mental Hospital in Peroorkada.
Satnam Singh was taken into custody by the police while he created a ruckus at the Mata Amritanandamayi Math at Vallikkavu the other day.
Muralidharan told a news conference here on Monday that the Crime Branch probe ordered by the State Government was not enough to unveil the mystery behind the youth’s death.
He said that it was important to find out whether the youth was linked to any terrorist group in the country.
He said that the brother of the deceased had told the media that when he saw Satnam at the Karunagapally police station, there were no injury marks on his body. But following his death, it was found that he had sustained 35 injuries on his body. “We are expressing the doubts of a large section of people,” he said.
BJP Team to Visit Nelliampathy Tomorrow Muralidharan said that a BJP team led by him would visit Nelliampathy on a fact-finding mission on August 8 in view of the controversy over the taking over of the Nelliampathy estates.
Besides the state president, senior leader C K Padmanabhan, Narayan Namboothiri and P M Velayudhan would be in the team.
He alleged that Government Chief Whip P C George was working as an agent of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
He pointed out that a parallel UDF team had visited Nelliampathy as they had lost faith in the UDF sub-committee. He said George has become the mouthpiece of the Chief Minister. He also said that Oommen Chandy-K M Mani- P C George group had a secret agenda.
He pointed out that the Chief Minister had not responded to George’s statement insulting the Congress MLAs.
He demanded KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala to make clear his stand on the issue.
