KOCHI: Youth Orator of Kochi, a competition to find out the best speakers among college students in and around Kochi, organised by the Junior Chamber International (JCI-Cochin) with the support of College of Marine Technology concluded at Sacred Heart College, Thevara on August 27.PSC chairman Dr K S Radhakrishnan was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Writer and critic M K Sanu delivered the keynote address. Dr G Mohan Kumar, MD, College of Marine Technology, Fr Prasanth Palakkapallil, Principal, Sacred Heart College Thevara, Jc Saji Abraham Samuel, National Director, Management of JCI India and advocate Ronald Paul, JCI zone president, graced the closing ceremony and prize distribution function.Trophies, certificates and gifts were given to the winners of the first three positions in English and Malayalam categories.Kevin John from FISAT was the winner in English category. Amrutha Raj from School of Legal Studies, Cusat, was the first runner-up. Alina Ann Mathew from Alphonse College was the second runner-up.Joel Andrews from Co-operative Medical college was the winner in the Malayalam category. First runner-up is Jose Kuriakose, Govt Law college was the first runner-up. Alwin Jose from Sacred Heart College was the second runner-up. Certificates and gifts were given to all the finalists as well.
