Mumbai: Four-year-old Baby Moshe fondly remembers his parents, killed during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, every time he looks at their photographs put up in his house in Israel.

Baby Moshe now lives in Afula in Israel with his maternal grandparents Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg and nanny Sandra Samuel, who has been with him since the barbaric events unfolded in Mumbai two years ago.

"He is keeping good. He often misses his parents.Whenever he sees their photograph at home he smiles at it and says good morning 'eema' (mother) and 'abba' (father). He also waves at their posters put up near his house," Rabbi Nachman, father of Rabbi Gavriel said.

Moshe is not only a smart and intelligent child but also very naughty, he said.

Two terrorists - Babar Imran and Nasir, laid a siege for over 45 hours at Chabad House, killing six Jews including Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his five month pregnant wife Rivika along with four other guests.

The ruined five-storey structure stands as a testimony to the brutality of the terrorist's incursion and their battle with Indian commandos.

Baby Moshe's room at the Chabad House still bears the memories of his stay there. A 'Tweety' poster along with Moshe written in Hebrew is pasted on the door. As one walks in, one can see colourful alphabets painted in Hebrew and drawings of fish and birds.

"As the Chabad House gets rebuild Moshe's room will remain same and only the bullet marks will be patched up.So whenever he comes, everything should be just like how it was earlier," Eliran Russo, Representative the family in Mumbai, told PTI.

Nanny Sandra along with handyman-cum-cook Qazi Zakir Hussain alias Jackie, a Muslim, saved the toddler from the jaws of death in a daredevil act while his parents were in the clutches of terrorists.

The 45-year-old Sandra, a widow who was working for the Jewish couple since their arrival in 2003, has been taking care of Moshe since his birth.

"Sandra is taking good care of Moshe. We are grateful that Sandra, who left her family here in Mumbai, is doing all this out of sheer love for the baby," Rabbi Nachman said
